STAGE V MILLENNIUM HEMI HEADS
The STAGE V Millennium head was designed for high output normaly aspriated gaoline applications. The Millennium head uses the intake port shape of a competitive Pontiac/Big Chief type head and put it in a Hemi head. While other manufacturers have rasied runner heads, their heads still use a relatively short intake vavle so their port shape is wrong.
The STAGE V Millennium head has a 6" intake valve with a 2.420" diameter which permits a port shape that directs intake air flow to the bottom of the cylinder, rather than out the exhaust port. Since the valve angle has been "flattened" out, the combustion chamber is 149cc rather than the 173cc big valve Hemi. The smaller chamber shortens the flame front and uses a lighter piston.
The highly efficient rocker assembly is shaft mounted and applies valve lift with no side load to the valve. It is rigidly mounted using five high strength billet stands. The rocker assembly has been proven reliable and maintenance free in 10,000RPM engines.
The STAGE V Millennium head uses standard Hemi valve covers, but does not require a longer spark plug tube. The Millennium head has a late "Pro-GM style" bolt pattern for the fabricated intake manifolds. To use a standard Hemi manifold, there is an option head adapter plate.
