Increasing the cubic inch of an engine is one of the easiest ways to make more power and torque. From our classic small block Chevy kits, to the sport compact scene, we offer the rotating assembly that will best suit your needs. CUSTOM BLUE-PRINTED ENGINES

  

Fed up with cheap crate engines?  Speed-O-Motive offers blue-printed crate engines with hand ported heads and special cam grinds to produce the power and torque you need.  Why settle for someone else's idea of what you need when with a simple call we can design a power plant to exactly meet your needs?  Contact us with your torque or horsepower requirement, fuel, vehicle weight and intended usage.  The key to engine building is in the "combination".  We hand port using Cosworth formula to produce maximum torque at your desired RPM then match with custom camshaft and correct compression ratio for your fuel.  Our cams are ground by Comp Cams using the latest high ramp speed and tight lobe centers producing explosive torque.  All our engines are supplied with three page  BLUEPRINT SPEC. SHEET assuring you in writing the critical clearances are correct.  This is why our engines last so long even in endurance racing.  All parts are balanced within 1/2 of a gram, a tolerance the same weight as a dollar bill.  All machining done on our Rottler F65 machining center with fresh builds leaking down less than 1%!  Check out previous builds listed below then call us.

HAND PORTED HEADS WITH MATCHING CAMSHAFT

  The secret to successful engine building is matching the head ports to the camshaft.  Unlike our competitors offering only "off the shelf" CNC ported heads, we analyze the customers needs then size the critical choke area according to the Cosworth formula.  CNC porting programs are utilized to keep costs low but each port is hand blended to optimze flow. Custom ground camshafts matched to our port programs. Give us your bore size, stroke, rod length, and application. We size critical port areas, choke point and valve seat angles to optimize air velocity specifically for your combination. We use the racing Cosworth Formula for optimizing the cross sectional area to increase port velocity. All heads are CNC machined on Rottler equipment in our in house multi-million dollar CNC machine center, and assembled by specialists with over 60 years in the high performance industry.
